Wright Offers Wright Drive® 2.0 Socket Design Featuring Improved Performance
Barberton, OH – November 2022 – Wright offers an innovative Wright Drive® 2.0 design that distributes contact stress more effectively than any other wrench system.
The Wright Drive 2.0 12-point design has up to 10 times more tool-to-fastener contact area than conventional 12-point wrenches. The design improves fastener torque load while decreasing rounding and distortion of the fastener.
The Wright Drive 2.0 6-point design moves the contact area away from the corners, creating greater strength and more torque. Its circle diameter reduces fastener rounding and allows better grip on undersized fasteners and previously rounded corners.
“With the stress spread evenly over a larger contact area and away from the corners, Wright Drive 2.0 improves fastener torque load while decreasing rounding and distortion of the fastener,” said Tom Futey, president and co-owner, Wright. “We improved our original patented Wright Drive socket design to create Wright Drive 2.0 – making it even better for users.”
