Sphere 1 Launches the Education Scholarship Program
Sphere 1 is proud to announce the launch of the Sphere 1 Education Scholarship, a new program created to support the next generation of our cooperative community.
Starting today, October 1, Sphere 1 is accepting applications for five $5,000 scholarships, awarded annually to children and grandchildren of employees at Sphere 1 member companies. Applicants must be accepted to, or currently enrolled in, an accredited college, university, or trade school.
Why We’re Doing This
As a cooperative, Sphere 1 is built on the strength of its member companies — and the people behind them. This scholarship is a way of giving back to the families who make that possible, helping the next generation pursue their education and their future.
This year’s scholarships carry special meaning. The inaugural class of awards will be given in honor of Sandy Moe, a former teacher in the Georgia school system and the wife of Sphere 1’s cooperative CEO. Sandy spent her career leaving a mark on the lives of her students — and this year, Sphere 1 is honoring that legacy by helping leave a mark on five more young people as they begin their own paths forward.
How to Apply
Applications are open from October 1 through December 31, 2026. To apply, students will need to submit:
- A completed application
- An acceptance or enrollment letter from their school
- A letter of recommendation
- A personal essay

Scholarship recipients will be notified in March 2027 and recognized at Sphere 1’s Spring 2027 conference.
