From May 6th to May 10th, the Sphere 1 family of both suppliers & members gathered in San Diego for the Sphere 1 25th Annual Conference, an event that brought everyone together for a week of collaboration, learning, and networking. In the true spirit of transparency from our Board of Directors and leadership team, we’re sharing the inside look from beginning to end!
Monday: Board of Director Meeting The conference kicked off on Monday with the Board of Director Meeting, setting the stage for the week ahead and providing valuable insights into the strategic direction of Sphere 1.
Tuesday: Golf and Networking Tuesday was a day of camaraderie and networking as members and suppliers came together for our kick-off golf event at Steele Canyon Golf Club. Against the picturesque backdrop of the Laguna Mountains, connections were made and strengthened, setting the theme of collaboration in the days to come.
Wednesday: Member Meeting and Keynote by Jocko Willink Wednesday began with a member meeting, where attendees received updates on leadership matters, upcoming events, and other important company details. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the keynote presentation by the renowned Jocko Willink, whose insights on leadership and teamwork left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. The day concluded with a lively Cocktail Hour, providing opportunities for old friends to connect and new connections to be made.
Thursday: Breakfast with Connor Lokar, Table Top Meetings, Women’s Executive Group, and the Awards Dinner Thursday started with a power-packed breakfast session featuring Connor Lokar from ITR Economics, who provided invaluable economic insights to help attendees navigate the ever-changing business landscape. This was followed by Table Top Meetings, where Members and Suppliers engaged in productive discussions and explored potential partnerships.
Before jumping into the Awards Dinner, the Women’s Executive Group held an event just for women in the industry that focused on mental health and well-being. The two guest speakers presented on Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Hypnotherapy. It was a great opportunity for people to connect and practice an exercise we often don’t make time for.
We capped off our day with the much-anticipated Awards Dinner, where outstanding achievements were celebrated, dancing was done, and deserving individuals and companies were honored for their contributions to the industry.
A special note about our charity partner, Building Homes for Heroes. Together, our Sphere 1 family raised over 300k for this incredible and worthy organization! Our deepest thanks to our Members and Suppliers who came together to donate to this cause.
Friday: Conclusion of Table Top Meetings and the end of the conference We drew to a close on Friday with the final round of Table Top Meetings, providing one last opportunity for meaningful interactions and business exchanges before bidding farewell to San Diego.
Sphere 1’s 25th Annual Conference was more than just a gathering of industry professionals; it was a celebration of innovation, collaboration, and community.
