At this year’s Annual Conference in Austin, the Sphere 1 community once again showed what makes this group so special. We’re proud to share that our members and supplier partners raised over $285,000 for our charity partner, Building Homes for Heroes.
This year’s fundraising total marks another milestone in a partnership that began in 2016. Over the past eight years, Sphere 1 has stood alongside Building Homes for Heroes to help provide mortgage-free homes and support services to injured veterans and their families. It’s a cause that resonates deeply across our cooperative—and one that continues to grow in impact, thanks to the collective generosity and heart of our members and suppliers.
Since the beginning of this partnership, we’ve seen firsthand the kind of transformation these homes bring. They don’t just offer safety and shelter—they represent hope, independence, and a new chapter for the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much in service to our country.
This year, we were honored to welcome Hero Lt. Col. Melchizedek “Kato” Martinez to speak at the conference. His powerful story of loss, survival, and resilience following the 2016 Brussels Airport bombing brought both perspective and inspiration to the room. While his journey has been marked by unimaginable tragedy, his message was one of strength and perseverance—and a powerful reminder of why our support for organizations like Building Homes for Heroes matters so much.
We’re grateful to Kato for sharing his story, and to Building Homes for Heroes for continuing to do the life-changing work of helping veterans and their families rebuild—not just their homes, but their futures.
And of course, we’re deeply thankful to every company that contributed to this year’s campaign. Your generosity made this possible. Together, we’re not just hitting a number—we’re making a difference.
This is what the Sphere 1 family does best. And we’re already looking forward to seeing how we can go even bigger next year.
